Des Moines Concours d’Elegance (2024)

Des Moines Concours d’Elegance is held each September and features 12 classes of classic vehicles. For 2024, it will be held on Sunday, Sept 8th from 10 am to 4 pm at the Pappajohn Sculpture Park in Des Moines, Iowa. The event is free to the public, however, they are taking free-will donations to cover their costs and to provide benefits to the Children’s Cancer Connection.

Schedule of events on Sunday, Sept 8th, 2024

  • 10am Show starts
  • 2:45pm Star Car Presentations
  • 3 pm: Grand Awards Presentation at 13th and Grand, including class winners and best of show
  • 4pm: Roar at 4, as the show ends, the owners will rev their engines at 4pm

Check out the classics at American Dream Machines

While you’re visiting the show, also be sure to stop by American Dream Machine, one of nation’s leading classic car repair and sales locations. During the show, the entire showcase floor and work area are open to the public. They are located at 1500 Locust St, which is one of the corners of the Pappajohn Sculpture Park.

Doug Klein has operated American Dream Machines for the past 20 years. Most of their sales are from out of state.
A solar red 1968 GTO sits alone in the “white room”, which was specifically designed for photographing the final restored vehicles.

If you get a chance to see American Dream Machines at night, you’ll see that its eye candy for car lovers.
The showcase floor is well lit to catch the eyes of those who travel by American Dream Machines at night.
