Scenic view on Dakota Point Trail at Stone State Park in Sioux City, Iowa

If you like scenic views but your knees can’t take a long hike – then I’d recommend the scenic view on Dakota Point Trail at Stone State Park in Sioux City, Iowa.

You’ll find this sign right at the parking area pointing the way towards the scenic view.
Here’s what the trail is like leading down the steps toward the view.
The entire path to the view is only about 1/4 of a mile , but there are few places to stop along the path.
Here’s the scenic overlook with a view of the Big Sioux River and South Dakota on the other side. You can also see Nebraska on the south side of the view. The trail still continues into the park if you want, otherwise, you can return back to the parking lot
